Trusted certification

The IT-Label: one code for the digital quality of a building.

Just as the energy label shows how efficient a building is, the IT-Label shows how well it is set up digitally. From fibre to smart building systems. Independently assessed, valid for two years.

Six levels

  1. IT1+Premium
  2. IT1High Performance
  3. IT2Plug & Play
  4. IT3Ready

01. What is assessed

Six components, from cable to climate.

During an audit we look at six components. Together they determine the score, and therefore the level.

01

Connectivity

Type of connection, capacity, backup connection, speed and stability.

02

Infrastructure

Cabling, WiFi, technical rooms and network management.

03

Performance

Measured performance under real load, not just what is on paper.

04

Scalability

Can the network keep up when more people or more systems are added?

05

Integration

How well the building systems work together and with the network.

06

Smart Building

Climate, lighting, access, sensors and energy monitoring.

02. How it works

From application to certificate.

  1. 01

    Request

You request the audit and we collect the drawings and building data in advance.

  2. 02

    On-site audit

We measure the connection, the cabling, the WiFi and the building systems.

  3. 03

    Assessment

The results are assessed using the official IT-Label method.

  4. 04

    Label and certificate

You receive the label and the certificate. You can use them straight away when letting or selling.

03. Why it matters

The digital foundation beneath sustainability.

A building that wants to save energy with smart systems needs a reliable network. Sensors, meters and a building management system must be able to share their data. Without that foundation, smart measures stay on paper.

The IT-Label makes that foundation visible. So you can see whether your building is ready for the next step in sustainability, and what is still needed.

IT-Label and energy label
With smart systems a building can rise on both labels. For example from energy label C to A, and from IT3 to IT1.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

Who issues the IT-Label?

The IT-Label is managed by IT Label B.V. IT Label Specialist is an initiative of IT Label B.V. and carries out the audits using the fixed method. Official information is available at it-label.com.

How long is the label valid?

The certificate is valid for two years. Technology changes quickly, so after two years a recertification shows whether the building is still at the same level.

Is the IT-Label mandatory?

No. The IT-Label is voluntary, just like BREEAM or WELL. The energy label is mandatory. More and more owners use the IT-Label to show what their building offers digitally.
