Industrial
Smart and sustainable industrial buildings
An industrial building often combines an office with a hall for production or storage. Large roofs are ideal for solar panels, and machines and systems use a lot of energy. With smart meters and a good network foundation, you match consumption and generation.
What we look at
Five points that make the difference.
Making the most of solar panels
Shifting consumption to moments when the sun is shining.
Energy per machine
Submetering that shows which system uses a lot.
WiFi in high halls
Coverage between steel and racking needs its own design.
Office and production separated
Machines and sensors on their own, secure network.
Charging areas
Charging points that charge smartly without overloading the grid connection.
Why is WiFi in an industrial hall difficult?
Steel, high ceilings and full racking block the signal. A hall therefore needs a different WiFi design from an office, with access points in the right places and at the right height.
How do I get more out of the solar panels on my roof?
By shifting consumption to when the sun is shining, and by connecting generation, battery and consumption smartly. Smart meters per installation show where this delivers the most.
Should machines be on a separate network?
Yes, preferably. Machines, sensors and industrial systems belong on their own network, separate from the office network. That is more secure and prevents disruption to production.
Where can I find industrial space to rent?
