For technical managers

Make the network and smart systems plannable in your maintenance plan.

In a long-term maintenance plan, the roof, the façade and the building services are neatly scheduled. The digital components and the smart systems often are not. Yet a building management system, sensors and network equipment age much faster than the building.

  • A baseline of the digital components
  • Smart measures at the right moment
  • Fewer outages and complaints

What it gives you

Clarity, for you and your building.

The IT-Label gives you a reliable baseline. That lets you include the digital components in your maintenance plan, and schedule smart energy-saving measures at the right moment. For example, together with replacing the climate installation.

IT-Label and energy label
With smart systems a building can rise on both labels. For example from energy label C to A, and from IT3 to IT1.

Our recommendation

Start with a pre-inspection.

We walk through your building and map the digital foundation and the smart systems. You learn which IT-Label it is likely to achieve and where you can save energy.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from technical managers.

Is your question not listed? Just ask us.

How do I include IT in my maintenance plan?

Start with a baseline of what is in place: fibre, cabling, network equipment, sensors and building systems. Record the age, condition and expected replacement for each component. The IT-Label is a good basis for this.

How often does network equipment need replacing?

Network equipment and software have a much shorter life than cabling. Plan them separately in your maintenance plan, with their own moments for replacement and updates.

Is a building automation system mandatory for my building?

In the Netherlands it is for non-residential buildings with a heating or cooling system of more than 290 kW. Read more in our article on building automation, and check the current rules with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
