Label C requirement: what is it?

The Dutch label C requirement means office buildings in the Netherlands must have at least energy label C.

Since 1 January 2023, office buildings in the Netherlands must have at least energy label C. If an office does not, it may in principle no longer be used as an office.

There are exceptions, for example for listed buildings and for buildings where the office part is smaller than 100 square metres. For the exact rules, check the website of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Also read how smart systems help with label C.
